The Packers are taking on the 49ers in a divisional round matchup on Saturday night at Lambeau Field and we are equally nervous and excited to be breaking it down. We start with some discussion about the guys returning from injury and how the roster is shaping up headed into the game. Next, we dive into the key matchups and expected game plans for the Packers defense against the 49ers offense, starting with how they can successfully slow down the rush attack led by Deebo Samuel and Elijah Mitchell (00:09:38). We also discuss how injuries and cold weather may affect Jimmy Garrapolo and the impact Jaire Alexander’s expected return may have on the rest of the Packers secondary (00:26:58). After the break, we look at how the Packers offense can stay efficient and attack the weakness of the 49ers defense while not abandoning the run and allowing their pass rush to play more aggressively (00:35:30).
